Integrated quality, environment and safety policy

The Vigilance Institute Vigilpol considers Quality, Environment and Safety as key elements of its strategy and promotes commitment at all levels of the organisation; aware of its leadership role, it disseminates and supports the commitment to meet the requirements of the Quality and Safety Management System and to continually improve its effectiveness while conveying to the entire structure the importance of knowledge management. To this end, a Management System has been established based on compliance with the ISO 9001 and EN ISO 45001:2018 standards, and staff are therefore required to adhere to what is described in the manuals, procedures and any documents that outline the criteria to be applied during the execution of their activities.

The Vigilance Institute Vigilpol considers compliance with all legislative norms for the protection of Health and Safety as a fundamental objective of its management. The implementation of a Quality and Safety management system aims to fulfil the requirements specified by the standards. In this context, the Board of Directors intends to focus on continuous improvement by involving the responsibilities of its staff. For this reason, management is committed to taking an active role in promoting and guiding all activities that influence the Safety and Health of Workers dependent on the Institute itself, through the dissemination of the concepts presented here at all levels and the verification of the results achieved.

Vigilpol, aware of its role in the safety of companies and citizens, understands that safety requires tools and methodologies, but above all that their use must involve careful, coordinated and appropriate behaviours to flexible realities and circumstances over time. Therefore, it expresses a continuous and absolute commitment to these duties, based on principles of responsibility and reliability in its work.

The starting point for the realisation of these policies has been identified in pursuing the following objectives:

  • Introduce and implement management systems and programmes for the protection of the environment and safety tailored to the actual needs of the services provided.
  • Continuously monitor the level of compliance of the system with reference norms and laws and strive to improve it at all times.
  • Improve environmental performance and attention to processes and waste from processing.
  • Reduce all forms of environmental impact (waste production, atmospheric emissions, water management)
  • Optimise the use of energy resources, avoiding waste and utilising the best available technologies.
  • Focus on forms of energy with a low environmental impact.
  • Implement adequate tools to prevent incidents or events that could harm the environment or the health of its collaborators.
  • Decrease the hazardousness of its activities and improve the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Plan performance objectives for operational activities, innovation, and improvement of Quality, Environment and Safety and Health of Workers.
  • Quantitatively express objectives whenever possible.
  • Plan actions aimed at achieving its improvement and innovation objectives for Quality, Environment and Safety.
  • Promote and implement training programmes for staff at all levels to optimise the growth process of human resources, considered critical for the development of the Cooperative in the years to come.
  • Communicate externally all activities that the company supports in the field of environmental protection and the Health and Safety of workers.
  • Respect the contract and pay particular attention to user satisfaction.

Vigilpol, for the implementation of its Quality and Safety Management System, has undertaken a challenging path in terms of human and economic resources, in which aspects and issues specific to Vigilance Institutes have been confronted and shared with a new and collaborative spirit, committing to make available resources and means adequate to the objectives set. The constant commitment of leadership to business improvement also represents an opportunity to declare that Vigilpol is among those companies that evaluate and apply the best solutions to contain the risks related to the activities of the Vigilance Institute, assessing in them the provision of services, office activities as well as maintenance activities concerning its structures or means.

We believe that the tools of Management Systems provide the reference principles to raise the awareness of all corporate components and to create that cultural environment essential to give this issue all the importance that it currently holds for our Vigilance Institute. The Institute, relying on the collaboration of all, believes that its system based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards represents the foundations upon which to embark on its path towards the continuous improvement of the organisation.

As part of continuous improvement, Vigilpol is committed to continuously studying its activities, seeking to refine its management system through periodic reviews, basing its decisions on systematic data collection and their precise analysis.

In order to facilitate the dissemination and understanding of the Policy, the Board of Directors meets with function managers to raise awareness of the role of the individual within the organisation.
